Jack's been doing great in Second Grade except for Language Arts (Grammar and Reading). He struggles to read and we just don't know how to make it better! He received his Dibels scores and got 2 U's and 1 N...lovely! Then, in passing, he mentioned going to Mrs. Peppiat's class which is a Reading Resource class. Anyway, we decided to set up a meeting with Mrs. Morris to talk to her about Jack and get some advice as to how we can help him. The meeting went really well and she said she feels like he will catch up. She said he's a great kid and "knows what's going on around him". :-) She's going to watch him closely to make sure he understands the directions on papers which is his argument on some cases. After the meeting, I sent her an email. Below is my email and her response!
