Jack's a good boy!

February 11 - Just got home from spending the whole morning at NES. I helped Michelle Reine with some Food Pantry donations from 8:30-10:45 and then ate lunch with Jack. While I was helping Michelle, the head secretary (who can be kind of stand-offish) asked who my child was. I told her Jack Patterson from Mrs. Moore's class. She just said "OK, I don't know Jack...he hasn't had to come down here...but I wanted to put a child with a parent since you are here every now and then." After we ate lunch, I went to recess with Jack, which was in the gym. They did an organized activity so I asked if they (3 of the 1st grade teachers) needed help. We put out cones and they had some relay races, etc. Anyway, I was talking to one of the teachers and she asked who my son is. I told her Jack and pointed him out. She said "Oh, I don't know Jack...he's one of the good kids that we don't have to say their names!" :-) They all thanked me for helping so much and said it was nice to have those extra hands. So, to sum it up, Jack's a good boy at school so none of the teachers know him! :-)
